Lance is responsible for all legal matters affecting Volker’s various business units, affiliates, subsidiaries and related entities. In addition, he oversees the organization’s corporate service departments such as human resources, marketing and information technology.
Lance earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and his law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School. He has more than 21 years of corporate legal experience including work as a trial lawyer and partner in a well-respected nationwide practice handling business and commercial matters, representing clients ranging from individuals to Fortune 500 companies in a wide variety of transactional matters and providing outside general counsel services to multiple large businesses. Lance has tried many cases to verdict in both bench and jury trials. His most recent positions include Senior Vice President and General Counsel of a nationally recognized, vertically integrated affordable housing developer and served as Chief Legal Advisor to senior management and as a member of the executive team.
