Derrick brings over 30 years of experience in finance, accounting, and real estate asset management, including more than 11 years dedicated to affordable housing. His expertise spans portfolio performance management, LIHTC compliance, capital needs planning, risk mitigation, and investor and lender relations. Throughout his career, Derrick has led cross-functional teams, guided complex financial closings, and implemented tools to monitor asset health and drive long-term value. He is particularly skilled at aligning operational outcomes with ownership objectives while maintaining a strong commitment to regulatory compliance and community impact.
As Director of Asset Management at Völker, Derrick is responsible for the financial health and long-term success of our national portfolio. Based in our Lancaster, PA office, he travels regularly to properties across the country to ensure performance targets are met and resident-focused outcomes are achieved. Derrick’s thoughtful leadership, collaborative mindset, and strategic approach to asset management make him a valuable addition to the Völker team and a strong advocate for our mission to provide high-quality, community-supportive housing.
